Description
Joanie Chow Suet Yu returns for number 3 in our series of Movement workshops for Actors and Non – Actors . This workshop explores the importance of inter-disciplinary approaches to the developing actor, focusing on the theatre performer’s exploration of physicality through contemporary dance and physical theatre techniques. The workshop is designed for all people interested in creating theatre through physical movement and exploring their creative imagination further.
This is a fun and inspiring series of workshops for personal and professional development. No experience is required, just bring a sense of play and some comfortable clothes to move in.
About the Instructor
Joanie Chow Suet Yu
Graduated from BFA (Hons) in Dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance, Joanie is a versatile performer. She is trained in voice and clarinet and began her performing career as a Musical Theatre actress. Once she had discovered her passion for dance, she decided to return to full-time training, learning Contemporary Dance techniques. Joanie has attended numerous Dance Festivals around the world, including the Beijing Dance Festival and East Point West Interdisciplinary Festival of Embodiment, and has been the recipient of several scholarships.

畢業於香港演藝學院(榮譽)學士學位，主修現代舞。
她曾學習聲樂及單簧管的訓練，並開始了她的音樂劇演員表演生涯。成為音樂劇演員後發現了自己對舞蹈的熱情，她決定報讀香港演藝學院，學習當代舞蹈技巧。 周氏曾參加世界各地眾多的舞蹈節，包括北京舞蹈節和合一空間，國際編舞節，並獲得了多項獎學金。
